Orange Battery Charge with 29W Apple Charger on iPhone

I always check my phone battery health after charging higher than 80% and today when i did it, it that charge to 99% was on orange...

I searched on internet about it and it said that it was when used with a low power charger but it was a 29 watts apple charger!

Was it talking about android?

The orange part on the battery graph usually means your iPhone slowed down or paused charging for some reason. It could be because the phone got too warm while charging (iOS does this to protect the battery), or maybe you have “Optimized Battery Charging” turned on, which sometimes pauses charging to learn your habits.

It’s also possible there was a temporary issue with the charger or cable, even if it’s a legit 29W Apple charger. Maybe double-check that everything’s working fine and that there’s no dust in the charging port.

Unlikely to be because of anything Android though. Hope this helps!

Yep as Zachyy said, that is normal and protects your battery by fast charging to 80%, then slow charging the remainder.

Your Apple lithium-ion battery uses fast charging to quickly reach 80% of its capacity, then switches to slower trickle charging.

Don't forget to let your battery charge to the full 100% on occasion. This is the only time the battery can calibrate its health measurements. Some users never let it charge to 100%, then when it does make a charge to 100%, they see the Battery Health adjustment drop multiple percentage points and think there is something wrong with their battery. It was simply not allowed to calibrate the health value before.

The orange on your charging history represents you were using a slow charger to charge your iPhone. This also depends on the combined power needs of all connected devices and on system conditions. Certain tasks may also decrease your charging speed, such as graphic or processor intensity apps or high quality videos at max brightness.

Though keep in mind, even though it may charge slower, it is better for maximizing battery health and efficiency.

The device you are calling a charger is not a charger nor does

Apple call it a charger. It is a power adaptor. It's the device itself (in this case your phone) that controls the charging.

Personally I wouldn't worry about it at this point. Re-booting the phone might help but if it continues then have it examined at an Apple Store or an Apple Authorized Service Provider.

The iPhone constantly monitors your charging habits and makes any adjustments when needed. Some factors that will affect this behavior include:

  • Usual time when the phone is being charge and when taken off charger
  • Battery Temperature
  • Use of processor intensive apps during charging

The phone uses Machine Learning to make predictions based on your needs and balances that with maintaining your battery health to increase longevity.
