Connecting Bose sound bar with Apple TV and LG television

I looked everywhere to try to figure out how to get this to work and finally figured it out. The way I accomplished this was simply to plug-in BOTH the optical cable from the LG television into the Bose sound bar and also an HDMI cable between the LG television and the Bose sound bar. Once I did this, the Apple TV could now control the Bose sound bar. My sound bar is brand new in November 20 24 and I’m using an apple TV HD with 128GB. In other words, the television transmits, the sound signal into the Bose sound bar via fiber optic, but it’s the HDMI cable which connects the signal from the Apple TV through the LG television and on into the above sound bar. Now I have one remote control that turns on the Apple TV, the LG television, and the Bose sound bar all at once. The Apple TV remote controls the sound level up and down as well as the mute function on the Bose sound bar. In other words, it works like a regular TV with a great sound system, as opposed to a clunky set up with 17 remotes. Happy days are here again.
