items that I trash are going to a different mac trash bin

I am sending items to the trash bin on my MacBook Air. The bin is not showing anything in it, however, what I trash is going to the bin on my husband's MacBook Air. I assume this is due to iCloud.

How do I fix this and sever the connection?

MacBook Air 11″, macOS 10.14

Do the two Macs are having same admin name and password ?

May be the os is corrupted , as for normal working Macs , whoever will delete an item will move to his / her Mac trash , to delete an item options are there delete immediately or empty the bin ( if you empty the bin all items are erased and bin is completely emptied , and you delete an item immediately it is erased and can't be recovered Delete files and folders on Mac - Apple Support
