Updates don't download on my recently reset MacBook Pro

Whenever I go into System Settings, and click "Update Now" the security updates don't install. Same with the upgrade of big sur. It brings up the installer app and then after it has finished installing, it tells me to restart, and plops me right back at macOS Catalina.

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 10.15

System Setting >> Software Update will not offer macOS 11 Big Sur as an upgrade

Follow this How to get old versions of macOS

Choose macOS Big Sur

Safari will open a redirect and open the Apple Store where the download can commence.

Suggest having at least 50 GB of Empty Space on the drive.

It will allow the Full Version ( about 12.xx GB ) to download, then expand and then commence to install..
