I am having multiple iPhone 16 Pro Max issues

I’ve had about 8 iPhones in a row now, lastly the iPhone 14 Pro Max which I owned for 2 years with no issues at all, super smooth and an overall great experience with all iPhones.

upgraded to the iPhone 16 pro max and it’s absolutely garbage! Crashes on camera, crashes on apps such as Facebook, instagram, Snapchat frequently won’t let me video anything.

it’s constantly logging me out of apps requiring me to keep signing in each time which is a joke and there are honestly so many bugs the phone shouldn’t be sold to the general public.

this is my first ever time complaining about iPhone but it’s that bad I had to register and make a complaint.

do I need to send this particular phone back or is everyone experiencing the same issues?

running latest software versions etc… plus it always asks me to enter my passcode for Apple Watch even when I’ve previously input it.

honestly worst phone I’ve ever owned…

There is always a wave of complaints on the forum when a new device is introduced, but I will admit that posts complaining of issues with the 16 pro and pro max seem to be more extreme and are going on far longer than I would expect, indicating to me that there may be more than just the usual adjustment and ‘break in’ period for a new product at play here.

Assuming you set it up by transferring your data, etc. from your old phone to the new one, my first suggestion is to back up the phone, then erase the device and set it up as new without restoring your backup. See how it behaves. There may be some kind of corruption or something in what’s been transferred that is causing issues.

If it behaves ok, try restoring the backup and see if the problems return. If they do, the issue is embedded in the backup somehow and you’ll need to erase and set it up as new then move forward from there.

If you still have problems after setting it up as a new device, make an appointment at the Genius Bar. There may be a hardware problem.

Good luck.

Curious if you’re still having issues. I have had mine for a month now (same… have owned several iPhones and most recently moved from the 13 Pro Max to the 16 Pro Max). I hate it! I have spent more time trying to fix this thing than I can even count.

There are so many bugs that need to be worked out, or I got a defect. I spent almost 2hrs with Apple support sat night, it zoomed in and then froze. I couldn’t shut it off or anything, so had to wait until I was home to use a Laptop to connect to support. They finally got me to a point of being able to get into settings to get the zoom turned off in accessibility. I then did a network reset, hoping it could resolve some of the other issues (connecting to my CarPlay in my BMW… another big issue)..but it works for both my daughters new 16 pro. Now… my settings somehow keeps switching the zoom feature back on.. so I am back to the initial problem I spent hours fixing Saturday! Today alone, it has happened twice! I have no clue how a setting can just switch back to on, all in its own. Very frustrated!

Since CarPlay won’t work- I have to look at my phone for directions which is so inconvenient! My radio also sounds muffled. I tried the USB that some mention to fix the issue- doesn’t for me. :(

So happy this phone can actually log my face ID but that’s about all.

Honestly worst Iphone I have ever owned in past 15 years. Last 3 being 8, 11pro, 14pro

have been great work horses, my phone works hard with over 50 days calls time per year & emails & constant Bluetooth between devices.

Really IOS 18 is all about noise & gimmick features. Not a SOLID PIECE OF HARDWARE!!! I will pay anything for a Proper phone, Mr Jobs would not be Proud 🤯
