iPad and Apple Watch passcodes not working after update

I recently updated my IPad and Apple Watch and now my passcode isn’t working for either device. I did not forget my passcode nor have I recently changed it. The devices

were working a couple of days ago. Has anyone found a solution to this?

iPhone 14, iOS 26

when you input a passcode then it compare it to what is has saved as your passcode

so if you input the correct one and it fails then logic deduction would suggest that it's save password to compare

with has become corrupted (though never heard about 2 devices getting the same corruption at an update)
