Bookmark management in Safari without having to go to Bookmarks....Edit Bookmarks?

I am running Sonoma 14.7.2

I must be missing something as these are pretty simple tasks(in Chrome, at least) but can't seem to do them in Safari without many more steps. Let's say I want to do one of three things:

  1. Edit(like editing the title) or delete a bookmark. Do I really have to go to Bookmarks...Edit Bookmarks...then drill down through folder after folder to find the bookmark and then edit or delete it? I have lots of bookmarks and they are organized in nesting folders so that's slow. In Chrome, you can edit or remove a bookmark "inline" while at that site.
  2. I want to move a bookmark to a different folder. Do I have to go to Bookmarks...Edit Bookmarks...then drill down through folder after folder to find the bookmark and then move it, navigating the nested folders? Or alternatively, add a new bookmark then go find the old one and delete it? Again, a simple task in Chrome.

See the problem- all of these require going to the Edit Bookmarks process and drilling down to the bookmark in question. These are both simple, one-step tasks in Chrome where you can edit, delete or move a bookmark "inline" while on the page. Why does Safari make it so much harder? What am I missing?

Thanks.

It sounds like you are missing the process you went through in order to have Chrome arrive at said site. Didn't you have to go into Chrome bookmarks, drilling down into the relevant folders, and then click the link? If that's your process for editing or renaming bookmarks in Chrome, then it's actually more difficult than it would be in Safari.
