Will my Apple TV 3rd gen still support local catch-up TV apps?

I know this device is absolete for Netflix and I was wondering if it will continue supporting catch-up tv through local TV apps?

Does Apple TV latest gen support other streaming channels Hi I am looking to purchase the latest Apple TV to replace my current Roku device. I currently subscribe to: Sling, Acorn, Britbox, Amazon Prime, CuriosityStream, are apps in the Apple Store available for those? We live in a no over the air, cable or satellite area of the country so our options are limited to streaming. I ask because I currently own a Mac Pro and the app store does not show apps for Apple TV and the Apple website does not talk about what is available. Thanks for your help Hal

Does the other streaming apps work on the Apple TV? I´m new to the Apple universe and thinking of getting an Apple TV. But I want to know if Netflix, Disney+ and MAX (prev HBO Max) works with the device. Any other streaming services such as SkyShowtime etc? Any changes on the horizon? [Re-Titled by Moderator]

Apple has no control over what other companies support.

The decision to end support for the Apple TV 3 is entirely up to whatever company is providing the app or service.
