iCloud on macMini hard drive
If I copy the iCloud files from my macMini hd, to an external drive, may I then delete them from the mini hd to free up more space?
Mac mini, macOS 15.2
Make sure iCloud Drive , desktops and documents box should be turned as on in Mac Set up iCloud Drive on all your devices - Apple Support , you need to select those files ( use command and A keys ) , copy them ( use command and C keys ) and finally paste ( use command and V keys ) over iCloud Drive in finder > the location should be documents .
Finally sign in with account credentials at www.icloud.com , it will take time to sync , when you are sure all of them are synced , right click over Macintosh HD folder and delete the files , also to move files to an external drive simply copying will not work , they have to be selected and copied then pasted .
