Locking iPhone 14 without Lost Mode

I just want to be able to lock my phone (14 Pro Max, iOS 18.2) when my better half decides to take a tour of it. It would just be easier than going through the argument and fight when I decide I just can't tolerate it right now. Trying to find a easier path than the direct one. Ideas anyone?

and Lost Mode i hear is a little more extreme than just locking it, the unlocking with my passcode.

It would be greatly appreciated

To quickly lock an iPhone, you can press the Side button once. The phone will require the correct passcode to activate. You could also enable Face ID on your phone.

You can also set your iPhone to automatically lock after a set amount of time:

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Tap Display & Brightness
  3. Tap Auto-Lock
  4. Choose the desired amount of time before your iPhone locks

Or, are you saying that you are locking the phone either manually or automatically, but your better half knows your passcode?

Or, maybe you don't have a passcode on your phone?
