Airplay Problem: Can't make MP4 in QuickTime to play on LG TV OLED65C32LA with Airplay built-in

Hi, It is about MP4 I guess, as I can display e.g. Prime Video or other sources.

All the process starts the usual way:

  1. I play video in QuickTime
  2. I select the TV and it responds positive way
  3. On TV I get info that it is conncted to my MacBook Pro M2
  4. I even can see the voice control reacting properly!

The only thing is that video is not displayed and no voice is transmitted.

May it be that mp4 is not supported???

Of course I tried to pause and start again... ;-)

Any ideas please?

It looks like this is a bigger problem.

Not only QuickTime Player and MP4 or MOV - neither of these two can be displayed!

Also some H.264 encoded MOV or MP4 cannot be displayed from Pictures app in MacOS on LG TV via AirPlay, despite the fact that they are displayed on Mac.

How come?

The only things that work for me are:

  1. HEVC encoded MOV videos, recorded on iPhone work fine but only from Pictures.
  2. H-264 encoded MP4 videos, recorded on Canon G16, from Pictures app on Mac.
