How do I stop Auto-correct from changing my words on iPhone?

Hi folks,

Hope you're well.

I cannot tell you how frustrated I am with the autocorrect on my phone. Every update seems to make it ten times worse.

If i misspell a word more than once, it saves the word and prioritises that misspell every time.

Example: I misspell 'and' as 'ans'. If i do it more than once, that's it. That's the word, every time I try to write 'and,' it says 'ans.'

This is unfortunate because I am dyslexic, and I misspell things a LOT.

I went into the settings to say replace 'ans' with 'and' but it still does not do this 3/4 of the time.

And setting up a replacement every single time I have a misspelling is getting absurd.

Please, can someone tell me how to fix this? I'm genuinely on the verge of tears every time I have to type something because *every* word I have ever misspelled is in this dictionary as the primary word, and there doesn't seem to be any way I can get it to stop.

Is there a reset that will just strip the entire dictionary? I don't want to reset my entire phone, just the dictionary/autocorrect.

Any help would be very, very gratefully received because I feel like throwing this bloody phone across the room. Especially with the many, MANY problems I've been having with IOS 18.1.1.
