Repeated MacAfee request to scan my Mac on Safari

i dont have McAfree Toyal Security downloaded on my laptop. However i get hundreds of notifications from them a day via safari. I have clicked on a notification and it has requested that i do a scan because my laptop is at risk of a virus. Im unsure if i should or should not do the scan. Please help i dont want a virus
