Deleting old iPhone backups and their impact on new iPhone

if i delete backups on my old phone that is connected to that apple id will it delete everything on my new phone

No, it won't delete anything on your new iPhone. But do make sure you are backing up your new iPhone to ensure you don't lose your data if you need to restore it from backup.
