if i restore my new iphone with my old backup and then delete the old backups that are in my storage will it delete my current stuff that i just backed up on my new iphone ?

You won't lose anything. The data from the backup will be on your device as well as in the backup. Getting rid of the backup will only mean you have a single copy of everything until you backup the iPhone again.
