Is 46mm Apple Watch too big for a small wrist?
I have a small wrist and really want the 46mm versus the 42, can any lady out there give me some advice? I've heard a 46mm is generally for men. Thanks in advance

I don't believe those men's vs women's watch concepts apply to the Watch.
It's a matter of personal esthetics. I have small wrists for a man (I'm Latino and only 5'3"), and I like the larger watch. I use the Modular watch face, and there is plenty of room for the various complications.
46mm refers to the height of the watch. Here are the dimensions of the 2 Series 10 watches. Using black paper, make cutouts of the two sizes and see what you think of them on your wrist.
46 x 39 and 42 x 36
M1 Mac mini, macOS 15.2; Watch, series 10 GPS-only, watchOS 11.2; iPhone 16, iOS 18.2; TV 4th Gen, tvOS 18.2; HomePods, audioOS 18.2 and Airport Express w/ Airplay 2

Go into an Apple Store and see if the 46mm is too big for your wrist.
Except for size, it is functionally the same as the 42mm.
