Amazon kids+ no longer available on ios

I’m upset that I purchased an ipad for my daughter so she can stop using my phone. I love the educational games on Amazon kids + app which I have on my iPhone . As of October 31, 2024 this app is no longer available on iphone or ipad. Is there anyway for me to get the app off of my phone and onto her iPad. I already reached out to Amazon and there is no way to access it from the iPad not even via their luna cloud service. Per amazon this decision was made by apple to remove this great educational app. Why?

I was having this same problem with a new iPad and found a work around. This will only work if you’ve ever previously downloaded Amazon Kids using your Apple ID.

Go into the Apple App Store. Go into your account. Apps > My Apps. Search for Amazon Kids in the list and it will allow you to download it from there.

Same, I couldn’t wait for my daughter to open her new iPad she got for Christmas. She had AmazonKids+ on an Amazon Fire but those tablets are so slow that I decided to upgrade to apple. My older boys have had iPads and they have AmazonKids+. I’ve been trying for hours now to figure out why I cannot seem to get it on my daughters. Just learned the same thing, as of Nov 1st it’s been discontinued. This is a big bummer hence the app is pretty kid interactive. In general Amazon products are pretty weak. The FireTVs, the Kindles, FireTablets.. but the app was pretty okay for the kiddos. I will probably be cancelling the subscription. I’m really upset about this. Not sure why Apple chose to discontinue.

Suprised to learn the Amazon Kids+ app is no longer available on IOS. This is unfortunate given that one of my kids just has IOS devices. Has Apple proposed an alternative approach or have they just decided that unlimited apps and reading for children isn't on their holiday wish list?

Super upset about this. My boys kindle tablets are trash. I got them both iPads for Christmas and they were excited to be able to use their Amazon Kids+ app again. Well, guess they won’t have access to that anymore. I’ll be ending that subscription since neither of my kids can even use it anymore. Apple doesn’t have anything comparable to that either. It’s very unfortunate.

Apple didn’t discontinue the app. Amazon pulled it from the App Store. Really disappointed because the Fire tablets aren’t very good but we like the curated content from Kids +. But we’ll be canceling our Kids + subscriptions because we can get similar games content from Apple Arcade and share books over Kindle and Libby apps.

what KellyRose wrote worked perfect for me. First I went to settings on her tablet and went to media and purchases and logged in with the apple ID that previously had amazon kids. Then If you Go into the Apple App Store. Go into your account. Apps > My Apps. Search for Amazon Kids in the list and it will allow you to download it from there. after it is downloaded you can log him out and log back in under your daughters ID and the app stays on the tablet. I was so relieved that this worked for me.
