Getting out of Recovery Mode (AppleTV 4K)

Last night, my Apple TV went into “recovery mode.” I honestly forget how it happened. I think I unplugged it while also changing TV inputs I know I did not unplug it during a software update. The white power light is flashing a repeating pattern: 2 quick flashes; brief pause; 2 quick flashes; brief pause …

This morning, when I powered up the device, the HDMI-connected Vizio TV started continuously showing a “Recovery Mode” screen with 3 options: “Reset All Settings,” “Restore,” and “Restart.” See attached pic. However, the once-paired Apple TV remote no longer communicates with the Apple TV and I cannot use any of my Control Center AppleTV controls to select any of those.

After about 5 minutes now, the TV’s screen is now continuously showing a “No Signal - HDMI-1” screen with the white power light still repeating the same 2-flash/pause sequence mentioned above.

I’ve never encountered this before and have no idea what to do (besides a proper retirement ceremony and purchase of a replacement). Any/all suggestions welcomed.
