Cannot delete or decline Hotmail calendar spam on iPhone X

My iPhone holds multiple email accounts, including a Hotmail account. I am receiving spam calendar invitations via Hotmail and cannot decline, block or delete them. I do not want to delete the calendar from my phone as the Hotmail account is associated with all of my health apps, travel apps and other. There are no suspicious calendar apps that I can find lurking on my phone, and hunting for emails in my junk mail with corresponding titles to the calendar invitations has not proven successful. I have read and attempted every suggestion on this forum and others, including many different Google searches. Why is there no option to slide the offending invite to the right and delete as I can with so many other things on my phone? I have an iPhone X, iOS Version 16.7

There is no indication of these events on any other devices when logged in to my Hotmail calendar.
