iPhone XR does not work as a webcam - black screen

Hello dear community,

after updating my MacBook Pro M1 to Sequoia and my iPhone XR to 18.1.1 does my iPhone no more working as a webcam, neither on FaceTime nor over Quicktime Player. I can't connect my MacBook over Bluetooth neither, It's available in the selection of bluetooth devices though.

I have rebooted both - this did not solve the problem. I have connected my phone with cable- this caused that I could select my device as a webcam, but the screen remained black.

Did someone experience the same and found a solution? Do I need to go back with my OS?

genegreenthirteen ~ Although 85% is above Apple's suggested 80% for replacing the battery, it's unlikely that the original battery of an old iPhone XR is healthy. Consider having Apple test the battery:

genegreenthirteen ~ Your iPhone XR could be several years old and the long process of applying an iOS update to an old iPhone with a weak, aging battery can be the proverbial "straw that broke the camel's back." So...

Does your iPhone XR still have its original battery?

And what's the Maximum Capacity % here?...
