Solved: Verifying Capital One Card in Apple Pay

Many posters including myself have issues activating their Capital One Credit Card in Apple pay. In my case, i had added the card in Apple Pay on my iPhone 16 and watch without issue, until i tried to verify. The verification process links you to the Capital One app / Website which you have to sign in, and then click verify. The options to verify were text me a code, scan card, or scan federal ID and take a selfie photo. The several initial attempts i made were the text verification method but after i had received a message that verification is not possible at this time. After several attempts, ultimately switching methods to scanning my Federal ID and taking a verification Selfie photo was the only method that worked and after doing so i received a verification screen confirming that my Capital One Venture Card now works on Apple Pay on my iPhone and Apple watch.

Side note: Changing wifi and VPN status did nothing to change the results as some others had previously reported months ago.
