Merging birthday Calendar with iCloud on iPhone
How can I merge my birthday calendar with my icloud calendar. It only shows up on my calendar app as "other" and doesn't allow me to move it under my icloud calendar

You don't need to have the Birthdays calendar in the iCloud section. On all your devices (Mac, iPhone and iPad), turn on the Birthdays calendar and they will all use the birthdays in Contacts to display the birthdays.
On iCloud.com, you need to turn it on by clicking the ⋯⃝ icon in the calendar list, clicking Settings and then checking "Show Birthdays calendar".
