MacBook Pro M3 max gets hot while sleeping

My MacBook Pro M3 Max gets hot sometime while plugged (already fully charged) and sleeping. It does not happen when it is not plugged. I know it has been waking up in the middle of sleeping because my friend sometimes tells me I'm online on discord while my MacBook Pro is supposed to be sleeping.

It gets too hot to for idling and makes me worry what this is doing.

My Current OS is Sequoia 15.2, but the problem has been occurring in previous versions.

I tried below so far but does not solve the problem:

-close all the apps before sleeping

-change the battery settings as the attached pic.

Someone please give me some suggestions what I could do to solve this.

Troubleshooting Overheating Mac:

A. Use the Activity Monitor:

See what it taking the most out of the CPU. Is it Google Chrome? Or is is something else? To Find Out, use Activity Monitor

  1. Go to: Applications
  2. Select: Utilities folder
  3. Open: Activity Monitor
  4. Click: Memory column

B. Update your Mac:

Time Machine Backup:

See if you need to update to the Mose recent non-beta version of the macOS. It may contain a few bug fixes. Important: Prior to the update or reinstallation, Create a Time Machine Backup of your Mac, so that you can have something to restore your Mac from, should anything go wrong, doing the install.

  1. Go to: Apple menu
  2. Select: About this Mac
  3. Click: Software Update... button

C. Reinstall your macOS:

If the above does not work, then consider reinstalling the macOS, backing up first. Why a Reinstall: If you reinstall the macOS, nothing would be deleted. All intended, original files and Apps that came on your macOS would be reinstalled (which include the Bluetooth). It’s all about keeping your system files intact.
