iPhone X Display doesnt respond to touch at all

So I have this old iPhone X that I have been using for quite a while but since i cracked my screen, I got it fixed by a third party repair shop. Everything was going fine for a few months but after a while, my screen started acting up and stopped responding to touch. Usually, I would force reset the iPhone which worked for the most part but now it doesnt. Now im stuck with a locked phone that doesnt respond to touch.

I have tried using my PC to restore it with Apple Devices but anytime I click on "restore iPhone" nothing happens.

Im guessing its a Software issue since there have been many reports on iOS17 touch screen issues

Can anybody help me out here? I dont wanna spend a lot of money on a new screen.

PS

the repair shop said that they didnt replace the touch screen itself but only swapped the glass.

iPhone X, iOS 16

It's impossible to say with certainly what might have happened, though most likely the repair shop used a faulty or not-fully-compatible part or didn't do the repair properly. In any case, if force-restarting and restoring the iPhone doesn't fix the problem, it's most likely a hardware failure which will require further repair. If it were me, I'd put the money toward a newer iPhone rather than paying to repair one that old.

BTW, I may be wrong, but I don't believe it's possible to just replace the glass on an iPhone X rather than the entire screen. So I don't think the repair shop is giving you accurate information.
