Apple Devices and Windows recognise my iPhone - but not iTunes!

Hi folks

I've been happily managing my iPhone's music library for years with iTunes, as I regularly listen to music on my PC too. However after a recent firmware update to 18.2 my phone bricked and I had to do a full factory reboot. For some reason iTunes on my PC wasn't working to restore the phone, so I used my Mac Mini to get it started again.

However now I can't get iTunes on my Windows PC to recognise the phone. It shows both in Windows Explorer and Apple Devices (as per screenshots) but iTunes doesn't show any phone connected at all.

Really struggling now for ideas. Have tried full reinstall of iTunes etc. Has my phone somehow 'paired' with my Mac and won't recognise the original Windows PC I use daily?

Advice appreciated!

Once you install the newer apps such as Apple Devices (plus Apple Music and Apple TV), those apps take over most of the functions formerly handled by iTunes. So to sync or back up your iPhone now, you use Apple Devices, not iTunes.
