Can I recover lost data after erasing n reseting my iPhone?

I recently tried to erase n reset my iphone so that i could recover some documents on an app.

i went to settings>erase all content & setting and followed the procedures.

when the phone restarted and prompted me to recover/sync to an iClouds account it refused or rather it didnt sync to my icloud account. i was on the 200GB plan so i had alot of data.when i logged into my icloud eventually i realized i lost everything.

i have been using the same email for icloud and same device, so i dont know what happend and i would realy like to get some help on this.

It’s the device backup, not iCloud Drive, that will restore your device. Or, if you set up new, then anything in iCloud will sync upon logging into your Apple Account. It sounds as if you may not have synced to iCloud. If the data is no longer in iCloud, try iCloud.com/settings to see if anything is recoverable. Otherwise, you’ll need to restore from the backups that you keep elsewhere.
