Color selector in photo markup editor disappears before I can use it

Not sure if I'm the only one experiencing this, but I keep having this issue in the markup editor where the color selector menu automatically disappears a split second after I open it and then will not reappear afterward. This is a recurring issue that's really detrimental to me because of how much I use the markup editor, and restarting my phone never permanently solves the problem. Any help guys?
