Mail VIP alerts not working on iPhone after iOS 18.2 update

Since upgrade to iOS 18.2 mail VIP alerts don’t work. Spent 2-3 hours at the Genius Bar with no luck. And moreover whatever they did everything on my phone has to be reset. And I do have ‘Anticipate’ sound set up

vip email sounds Since updating to ios 16.5, my VIP emails no longer make sounds. Notifications for VIP sounds are turned on in Mail notifications, my mute button is off, and I have reset my phone. I have spent about 10 hours over several days trying everything that every help article has suggested. My iPhone 13 and my iPad 9th gen are set up properly according to Apple and every other article that I have read. Is Apple working to fix this problem?

I am getting no sound alerts when getting emails. iPhone pro Max, IOS ver. 17.0.2 My phone stooped giving me sound alerts when I get an email. Sound alerts work fine for incoming text messages or other alerts.
