Rented Movie Not Resumeable

For rented movies, you have 30 days to start the movie and 48 hours to finish it. Renting or purchasing movies can be done without the Apple TV subscription.

The 3 month free trial gives you all the Apple content for free. Just choose the Apple TV+ tab in the sidebar and you can watch any content there without any additional charge for the duration of the free trial.

For the rental movie:

• Make sure it is not downloaded or streaming on another device
• Restart your device
• Check for WiFi issues preventing the movie from loading enough content to begin playing again
• Are you receiving any error messages?
• When all else fails then Apple recommends to use this link:  report a problem.

Other users have reported that signing out of Apple TV and signing back in has resolved connection issues.
