How do I get CarPlay to ask me if I want to reply to a message?

Ever since updating my iPhone 15Pro, with iOS 18.2 current and using CarPlay in both cars, I will get a message from someone. Siri will read the message but no longer asks, "Would you like to reply?" The whole purpose of CarPlay is to allow hands free communications and enhanced entertainment and driving options. The inability to reply to a message is really annoying. I've not changed any settings on my iPhone. I gone through my settings and don't see anything out of the ordinary in CarPlay. Does anyone have any ideas as the searches I've conducted on the community don't seem to have replies? Thanks!
