Unauthorized Apple account enrollment in developer beta program

How does your Apple account get signed up for a developer or beta program when you didn’t sign up for it and now they have access to everything on your phone and everything else that’s on it it gets changed. You’re constantly being told to enter your your password. I even sent an email to developer support and because of my frustration after a year I use the F bomb and that was the only thing I used in my email that was maybe bad. He sent me an email back telling me because of my email in the language in it he would not help me at all and that he was going to close the case out. I think he was just guilty of what I was saying was the truth. I’ve been asking for my account to be taken off of this developer, beta crap, and nobody is willing to do it. It just gives people contact and access or an un trusting spouse or someone you know possibly please help.

To remove the option for Beta Updates, go to Settings > General > Software Update > Beta Updates, and turn it off. If you did not turn it on, then it was from someone that had physical access to your device, which means they know your Passcode/Password also. Change both of those.

To remove the beta if you currently have that on your device:

How to uninstall iOS or iPadOS beta software - Apple Support

To unroll from the Developer Beta program after it was signed up with your Apple ID Password:

Apple Beta — Unenroll Your Devices

To be clear, either you or someone that had your device along with your credentials did this. It was not done remotely. Beta's do contain many bugs and are not fit for release and should only be used for testing. That is why it is never recommended to use them on a primary device. In addition, since the beta cannot be installed remotely, it also cannot be removed remotely. That is something you are going to have to do on your device and no one else will be able to do that for you.

Yes, you are going to find out that dropping F-bombs is going to result in anyone not wanting to provide you help, they don't have to listen to that kind of language or be treated poorly. This not unique to Apple and is a good life lesson for you when looking to resolve any problem. Try it here and you will see the same results. As long as you are civil with specific questions and looking for an answer, you are more likely to find the resolution.

It’s normal to see a reference to beta stuff as shown below. You should be able to turn it off, if not already that way, as it is on mine.

Thank you kindly for your reply,

The F bomb was an absolute accident. I didn’t even realize I had said it until I got his email. I did apologize to him and just explained the situation and told him that I had been trying to take care of this for the last year but yes, it is absolutely wrong to use any type of file language when trying or asking to for help or just in general..

To be totally honest with you, I suspect my husband may have been the one to do it. We’ve been together 18 years, but for some reason, he just acts a little strange at times when it comes to my phone or his phone.. a few months ago we were sitting outside in our storage shed/his man cave and he went to his about phone when I was trying to explain things to him and what popped up was my phones information was on his phone if you could explain to me how that happens.. my oldest son was witnessed to this as well

Good afternoon Tom thank you for your reply. I’m just getting ready to head out for work. I would love to be able to get this information to you so I could possibly get some help. I had just happened to go into my about phone information to do an update on my phone when I spotted what it said regarding the beta or developer update and I couldn’t figure out why that was on my phone. It had said that I was signed into their program, which given my past dealing with trauma, I would never go through and do anything to that effect a type of program, but I would love to get you more information. I just can’t do it at this particular time. I’m already running late, but I will get back to you later on today. Thank you so much. I hope you have a wonderful day.
