KVM Switch Accessories Not Recognized on M2 Macbook Air

I recently bought a KVM switch to switch between my M2 Macbook Air and my PC. I'm using a USB-C to HDMI cable and a USB-C to USB-A for data transfer. The HDMI output works, but my connected accessories like keyboard, mouse, and speakers are not recognized. I know the USB-C to USB-A cable works as it worked for my PC, but it doesn't work with my Macbook. Any idea why? Thanks :)

Is my KVM switch compatible with MacBook Air and PC? I want to use one monitor, keyboard, and mouse to switch between two computers. One computer is an M4 Macbook Air running Sequoia 15.4 and the other is a Dell Latitude 7450 running Windows 11 Enterprise. Both computers are connected via USB-C. If I leave the KVM switch on the Mac, it's no problem - the Mac wakes up ok after having been asleep for a while. If I leave it on the PC it's no problem either. If I switch from the Mac to the PC the PC acts fine as well, it wakes right up. The problem is when I'm on the PC for some time and switch back to the Mac. It basically doesn't wake up after multiple keyboard key presses or mouse clicks. I have to open the lid (I keep the lid closed for both laptops) to get the Macbook to wake up. Any ideas? In case it matters, the keyboard and mouse are both wired and are both non-Mac devices. The monitor is an hp HDMI device. 2019 MacBook Pro K&M won't work with KVM (which says it works with MacOS) I'm not hopeful for an answer, as I have seen similar questions go unanswered, but hope springs eternal. Anyone have a KVM that works with a 2019 MacBook Pro to recommend? I have a 2019 MacBook Pro. I also have several other computers that I need to use: Windows desktop, LINUX, Windows Laptop. I purchased a KCEVE 4x1 HDMI KVM. They say this item works with MacOS. However, when I plug in the MacBook, via a USB-C to HDMI cable and a USB-C to USB-A 3.0. The video shows up, but the Mac won't connect to the keyboard and mouse. This is especially frustrating, as I was previously using a Startech USB switcher for K&M and had each computer directly plugged into my monitor, and it worked fine, if cumbersome to change both the K&M and video input each time. I have read nightmare after nightmare about Macs not working with KVMs. And no successful responses from my fellow Mac users, let alone any response from our friends in Cupertino. BUT I thought I'd ask.

USB Hub not fully working with 2024 MacBook Air I have a USB Hub (Anker 8383 USB-C 10Gbps model). It has an ethernet port, HDMI Monitor port, and several USB ports. When I try to use this USB Hub with my newer laptop, a 2024 MacBook Air running Sonoma, only the HDMI Monitor part works. The keyboard and Ethernet part do not work (nothing happens when I type on the keyboard and the wired network shows up as Disconnected). When I plug the same hub into my older laptop (2019 MacBook Pro running Sonoma), everything works -- monitor works, keyboard responds, and network works. Looking for help getting this working with my newer laptop I'm comfortable working inside the Terminal and would be okay using Terminal commands to troubleshoot this.
