iPad 2024 11-inch battery drain during movie playback

hi guys

I got a question about my new iPad 2024 11 inch battery.

last night i had just finished it charging to 80% and i started watching a movie on Apple TV.

after 1 hour and 6 minutes it was at 76%

is it normal?

im sorry it might sound like stupid question but I’m curious to know.

Ps the screen brightness was at 30% and i had the low power mode on.

At moderate screen brightness, you might reasonably anticipate battery utilisation at 8-15% per hour. Higher screen brightness or CPU load will obviously require more power.

Similarly, unless fully shut-down, you can expect your iPad to use power while it remains idle/locked - 10% per 24hr period being typical. Background housekeeping activity (e.g., retrieving email - or performing synchronisation or backup to iCloud storage) will contribute to this expected battery utilisation.
