iPhone 16 Pro : Camera Button

I have a question for the community about the camera button, the sensitive button that seems to be causing more problems than it’s solving.

I fail to understand why just tapping the screen is not quicker than trying to use the awkwardly placed button.

it would appear that if you hold the button to grip the phone, it stops the rest of the screen working - I’ve seen this in lots of YouTube videos

I would therefore like to know, as you have an action button that can do exactly the same thing, is it possible to disable this camera button because at the moment I’d rather buy an iPhone 15 Pro that’s got a smaller screen and 20g lighter.

The Camera Control button can be disabled in Accessibility settings.

I have the iPhone 16 Pro Max and previously had the 15 Pro Max. I enjoy using the Camera Control button and have customized the button using custom settings in Accessibility. It did take several weeks to get used to the button and the opportunities it offers. Now that I’ve spent time using the button and internalizing its use, I don’t want to go back.

I also find the 16 PM has snappier performance and better daily battery capacity.
