Apple Watch started to end exercise during walking

While walking briskly with my pup my watch started to end exercise.

Does anyone else have this issue or a solution?

It’s freezing outside, I really don’t want to keep looking at my watch to see if activity is still going.

Apple Watch not tracking walks Every now and then my Apple Watch will not count walking as exercise even when I have the fitness app on and the walking option selected. No settings are ever changed, software is up to date and I have tried turning everything off and restarting. Yesterday it tracked walking today it does not. This watch is brand new. What is the deal?
