MacBook Air M1 , Display gets discoloured if opened beyond 45 degrees.

MacBook Air M1, Latest OS 14.1.2 , Display is not working . I use the MacBook mostly for writing and browsing purpose. When I open the display beyond 45 degrees, it gets discoloured and text becomes unreadable . I have tried restarting multiple times. Please help. I hope the attached image helps. Thanks .

That's most likely an indication that the cable connecting the screen to the logic board or one of the connectors is broken. I'd recommend calling Apple Support or making an appointment at an Apple Store or authorized Apple service center and have the Mac evaluated.

Did you drop it recently?

Did you have the battery replaced or something else that required opening up the case to get access to the logic board?

There is a ribbon cable that goes from the digital logic board to the display. My guess is that either the ribbon cable is damaged or its plug is no longer seated very well to digital logic board as another person has suggested.

If you are not handy and have tools, take it to a service center.
