How do I shut off Mac book or do I even have to? It’s my first one. I opened it five minutes ago and it started talking to me. I just wanna put it back in the box. Thank you.

Apple icon in the upper left hand corner.
Hover mouse over it, press on the pad, and scroll down to shut down.
