Bad Sound quality on iPhone 15 Still?

Is IPhone 15 bad sound quality w/ headphones or earbuds still a problem?

I haven’t had internet or new smart phone for 3 years.

Decided to buy iPhone 15 recently because I felt electronics could be out of reach when tariffs kick in.

Bought new iPhone 15 recently as this seemed liked the smartest & most affordable of options.

Very happy with it except for poor sound quality on headphones. Sound really is very weak & tinny.

Goto>settings>Goto apps>Goto Music app>all settings are there for adjustment. Adjust everything. Sounds better but not right.

Studied USB C adapter headphone plugin.

It MATTERS how you plug it in.

It fits in either way. But I flipped it around & the rich, full, Apple sound came through.

This is a fix for that problem. Either the USB C port is not Omni-directional or the USB C adapter is not Omni-directional.

1st year for Apple USB C on iPhones I think.

Thought I’d share because I was going to take the phone back.

I marked the adapter.

Excellent Apple Sound now.

Carry On.

I turned the plug head bottom side up & it brought the full sound through. I marked it so I would know.

USB C is supposed to work right side up or bottom side up but apparently either the pins don’t match up correctly to allow full audio in the port or the adapter.

Definatly what I thought. The resistors pull down the cable path to make it flip able. So, maybe it’s not being pulled down correctly or completely to make a solid connection.

Probably poor quality adapter also, I’ll get another of better quality.

BUT I’ve noticed that to get the premium sound I need Apple air pods or a set of Beats headphones paired with Dolby Atamos in the EQ & Sound settings.

My headphones & ear pods are Skull Candy, expensive & nice sound but don’t qualify.

Boy you can tell Steve Jobs is gone.

BUT

2 schools of thought out there.

1 is MFi is in & is required

2 is MFi not required.

I’m Im betting on #1 based on the fact that Atomos Spacial Listening can be accessed only by Apple air pods or Beats Headphones (starting at $800.)

Oh well, you know what happened to the Cabel Box when people were denied access to the premium channels. The Jump Box was born✌️

I’m getting MFi.
