How do I force shutdown a MacBook Pro? I can’t access the apple icon on the top left hand of the screen?

press and hold the power button for MORE than ten seconds will do an emergency, uncontrolled Power-Down.

if you have any other way to do a controlled shutdown, that will be less stress on your machine.

This works on every Mac. Iif you have a Mac with Touch-ID sensor, this is a deep press and hold for more than 10 seconds.
