Handwriting in apple notes iPad 10th generation

Hello I am currently working in an iPad 10th generation. I have an offbrand pencil and then thoroughly enjoying handwriting my notes in the notes app. However, when I save my notes and go back to try and either edit or just continue writing, I can no longer write in the note. I do have scribble off so that it doesn’t continue to convert to text, but it won’t even allow me to write anything with my pencil. Any ideas, thank you

As you are using a third-party Pencil, it is difficult to offer any advice other than to replace it with a compatible Apple Pencil. The first generation Apple Pencil and Apple USB-C Pencil are supported by your iPad10 - both of which are paired and charged via the iPad's USB-C port.
