iPhone 14 Pro Max stopped working after brief water exposure

I dropped my iPhone 14 Pro Max into my pool whilst playing music on accident of course but only for like 3 seconds but now it’s stopped working I don’t know why or how.

If anyone could respond to this with a helpful answer that would be great.

Best regards

Owen

Read about splash, water, and dust resistance of iPhone 7 and later in this support article --> About splash, water, and dust resistance of iPhone 7 and later - Apple Support

Water and other liquid damage to iPhone or iPod isn't covered by warranty - Water and other liquid damage to iPhone or iPod isn't covered by warranty - Apple Support - "iPhone and most iPod devices are equipped with Liquid Contact Indicators (LCIs) that you can see from the outside."

If you have Applecare Plus you get two accidental damages/incidents for the life of the warranty at reduced cost.

Install the mobile Apple Support app and contact Apple using that. You can then optionally allow Apple technicians to have direct access to diagnostic data from your device.

For the iPhone Service Answer Center click here --> Choose Your Country or Region - Apple Support

Select your country.

For a cost estimate:

- Scroll down to "Get an estimate"

- Enter the service required

- Enter the iPhone model you have

- Enter the version of that model

- Click "Get estimate"

For instructions on how to get your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch ready for service click here --> Prepare your iPhone or iPad for service - Apple Support

- "To protect your information and save time, follow these steps before you get service for your device."
