MacBook Air recovery mode unable to connect with Apple ID

I cannot get into my laptop even in recovery. I don’t have the utilities options. When I try to reset using my Apple ID.. it’s showing I’m connected to the wifi but says it cannot connect to the server. Please help.

“Recovery server cannot be contacted” error while trying to reinstall macOS on a 2017 MacBook Air Hi there, I am having trouble with getting macOS recovery to work on my current MacBook, which is a 2017 Intel MacBook Air, which came bundled with 10.13 (High Sierra I think) from the factory (or at least, I assume so since Internet Recovery defaults to HS, Monterey was installed when I received the laptop by the way) which will not install due to the server supposedly not being contactable. This is the only Mac I have access to, the other computer I have is a Windows laptop. I have tried to reset the clock back to 2017, with no dice since it still can’t connect with the server, now I’m at a loss, and I don’t know what to do. I do NOT want to send the laptop to Apple and pay for them to reimagine the system drive, I just want an operating system installed on this laptop. Any help appreciated.

Unable to login into MacBook Air I have tried to reset the password with my AppleID, but it says there is a problem connecting with the server. I have tried to connect to my home wifi and my phone as a hotspot, still no luck with the server and when I click “forgot password,” it says an internet connection is needed (even after the wifi bars appear to show connected and not grayed out). I have landed on the macOS Recovery screen, but I have never gotten to a place where there is a “top toolbar” or way to access utilities. Please help :(

What year is that MBA?

What macOS do you want to install?

What macOS version was last installed?

It’s a 2019!

MacOS I want to install doesn’t matter.

I'm unsure of what was last installed as I haven’t used the MBA in several months.
