1TB iCloud storage not available for device backup

Which devices are you backing up that will need 1TB of data? iPhone and iPad backups don't include media such as music and videos - it just includes the key data and settings of the devices. My iPhone uses 190GB of its memory but its backup file is less than 10GB.

This comes up quite often, it seems. I gather that Apple used to have a 1TB option but changed it to 2TB for the same price. However, the price jump between 200GB and 2TB is significant. I would definitely like more than 200GB and would go for a 500GB option to give me a bit of headroom but the $11+ monthly subscription for 2TB in the UK is too much for me.
