iPhoto Album creation when copying photos into a new folder

how do i stop iPhotos from creating an Album when I copy photos into a new folder

In iPhoto and Photos only albums can hold photos, not folders. Folders can only hold albums and subfolders.

So the Photos.app will automatically create an album, when you drag photos to a folder.

You may want to create albums to hold your photos, and group related albums with enclosing folders.
