Apple Magic keyboard producing incorrect symbols

Ièm using my Apple Magic keyboard and instead of the question mark I get É and instead of the apostrophe I get è, etc. How can I fix this pleaseÉ

Go to system settings / keyboard / text input / edit / all input sources and use the minus button at the bottom to get rid of all items not named US or ABC, especially the one called French Canadian.

Hi Tom, Thanks for your reply. Iève followed your steps down to All Input Sources and I only have (on the left side) Canadian and Canadian - CSA. I got rid of the Canadian - CSA and I think the problem is fixed. Thanks so much. Kathy
