Transfer iPad between daughters without deleting content, How????

I have searched this topic and there seems to be many questions without answers, but most of those were older posts. I have 3 kids all set up with family sharing. They each have their own iPads with their own Apple ID and parental control. I had an older iPad Pro that I reassigned to my middle daughter. That was easy because it was my Apple ID which I could easily sign out from the iPad. Now that my middle daughter's Apple ID is associated with the iPad Pro, I cannot log her Apple ID out. The option is grayed out. I would like to switch the Apple ID on that iPad Pro to my youngest daughter, as her iPad mini is basically useless at this point (about 10 years old). There doesn't seem a way to make this work. This seems like such a simple task, but as Apple tends to do, they overthink things and make it impossible. I don't want to reset the iPad as my daughters still want all the content on it. Anyone know how to accomplish this? If there is not a way, than Apple needs to change this.

Being grayed out, would suggest you have Screen Time restrictions active. You would need to go in to Screen Time Settings and re-enable the option to allow changes to Accounts.

Settings ➜ Screen Time ➜ Content and Privacy Restrictions ➜ Allow Changes and make sure "Accounts" its set to Allow.

You should then be able to go back and sign her out.

Do note, all downloaded apps and media will remain tied to your account and in the case of apps, will always require it to update.

Also, you may want to change the account used for Messages and FaceTime in Settings ➜ Apps ➜ Messages ➜ Send & Receive ➜ Apple Account and Settings ➜ Apps ➜ FaceTime ➜ Apple Account, otherwise your messages and calls will continue to arrive on the iPad Pro.

● If an app or feature on your device is not working, not appearing, or is restricted (grayed out), a frequent reason is it may have been disabled using Screen Time, or by an IT administrator if you are using a device owned by an employer or educational institution.

- Read this support article If your Apple ID or other options are greyed out in Settings —> If your Apple Account is grayed out in Settings - Apple Support

Tap your Settings app > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions > scroll to Allow Changes and turn on.

- If the device is managed (Settings > General > VPN & Device Management), contact the IT department that is doing the managing.

While apps downloaded with an account will always require that account be signed into the device in order to be redownloaded, I note that at least one of your daughters is of the age to have a child account. In that case you must be using Family Sharing and some purchases can be shared. Read this support article about how to download apps and content that your family members purchased - How to download apps and content that your family members purchased - Apple Support

When you sign out of an iPad with one account, you will be asked if you want to delete content already on the iPad. Say no and the content will remain. While apps will remain, you'll still run into the account linkage issue for updating, but should work until then. Even then, though, you can use Family Sharing to share the app.

Wow, never would have imaged Content and Privacy restrictions are under Screen time?? Don't see how privacy restrictions are related to how much screen time they are getting.

I did as you suggested, but Sign Out on my daughter's iPad is still grayed out. Every content and privacy setting is set to allowed under the Main Content and Privacy Restrictions but the same exact menu exists under each family member and I also made sure to allow everything under her settings specifically. Sign out is still grayed out on the iPad. Everything I researched said the only way to remove a child under 13 from a device is to do a complete hardware reset.

Doesn't work. The "allow accounts" allows me to click on her apple account in the top of settings and I can change all her settings like, iCloud, find my, media, personal information, etc.. but........when I scroll down to the bottom of the page SIGN OUT is still grayed out. It won't let you. It says, "sign out is not available due to restrictions."

I have all content and privacy restrictions, "allowed". This is where apple's software gets convoluted. Under my devices screen time (awful place to put content and privacy settings) I have my own content and privacy settings. Than, under each family profile, they have their own content and privacy settings. Is there a hierarchy here for this menu?? Either way, all settings in all content and privacy options for all family members is set to "allow". I still can't sign out my daughter from her iPad.

I have an engineering degree, work on complicated and technical Japanese products and I can't figure out how to sign my daughter out of her iPad. So ridiculous.
