Siri's response to my questions on iPhone 15 Plus is not audible

When I speak to Siri and ask a question, I cannot hear her response

Go to Settings. Tap Apple Intelligence & Siri. Tap Siri Responses. Tap Prefer Spoken Responses to hear Siri speak responses, even when Silent mode is turned on.
