Apple Watch continuously locking with tattoos?

Hi. Just wondering if anyone else was experiencing an issue with your apple watch locking itself while your watch is on a wrist with a tattoo? I recently got both wrists worked on & my apple watch has not worked properly, on either wrist since. I read somewhere it was about the tracker not reading properly due to the ink. But if there’s any trouble-shooting anyone’s done to make it work like turning off the lock function off or anything else that would be appreciated!

This has been an issue since the very first Apple Watch was introduced. The inks contain elements that block the ability of the sensors in the watch to determine whether it’s on your wrist or not. There is not fix other than turning off the wrist detection feature. It will not be able to accurately read things like heart rate, blood oxygen (if you’re in a country where that is a feature), etc. and Apple Pay will not be available on the watch.
