The holiday return period expired yesterday in those countries that offered a longer holiday return period (at least that I've checked). That required returns by January 8. You can ask Apple if they will make an exception, but in my experience they're quite rigid about enforcing those dates (not surprising or it would open up a huge can of worms and possible legal liability).

That depends on what you mean by “recently”.

Apple’s standard return policy is 14 days, but that is extended during the holiday period.

Hello again ~ I would like to suggest the same thing as both *Bob Timmons* and *varjak paw*. It can’t hurt to ask. If you can’t return it you can sell it privately and use the proceeds towards the device you would prefer. Take care.

All you can do is ask and cross your fingers that Apple will extend the 14 day return privilege due to holidays (and weather).
