Tap Didn’t Get Code, and it will offer other ways to get the code, assuming you followed the guidance when setting up 2 factor authentication to add additional trusted devices and phone numbers.

Getting In to your Apple Account:

Have no other Trusted Device?: If so, and you need to get into your Apple Account, contact Apple Support. Ask them to assist you with adding this as a Trusted Device. Important: Perform a trial-&-error login session, prior to ending the call.

Transferring Data to a New iPhone from a Broken iPhone:

How exactly is this “broken”? Is it not powering on?

Sync Through iCloud:

Be signed in to the same Apple Account on both devices. Did you have and items (i.e. Photos) enabled in iCloud on this old iPhone. If so, anything was enabled it will be accessible between both devices, and you’d have those items back.

On the iPhone:

As an example for obtaining iCloud Contacts:

  1. Go to: Settings
  2. Tap: Your Name (Top Item)
  3. Tap: iCloud
  4. Tap: Contacts
  5. Enable: iCloud Contacts
